Now you’re at the last step – the checkout process! Now you may be thinking: What is so great about the checkout page? Not only is it the last step you need to take before your new product is shipped, but BrightStores is also here to assure you that we’ve done everything in our power to create a streamlined, simple, and professional checkout experience that is anything but boring. Let’s dive in!
Sign In or Continue As Guest
When users take the first step to check out, they will be prompted to enter a username and password, create an account, or continue as a guest. If the user decides to create an account, they will need to enter information such as their email address and create a password. When checking out as a guest, they will only need to enter their preferred email address. In addition, users will also have the option to recover a forgotten password and have their confirmation email re-sent.
With our new and improved checkout page, users never lose their place! This is all thanks to the recently revamped flow of the checkout process. With all of the steps listed across the top, such as Payment, Shipping, and more, shoppers will enjoy the ability to easily go back and forth to different steps. Whether they need to change their Credit Card number or simply see the estimated day of arrival for their amazing new products, we’ve got it covered!
Custom Data Collection
The first step in our new checkout flow is the custom data collection! To ensure the shoppers exciting new promo product is shipped with all of the correct details, this field gives options for what type of location the item will be sent to such as home, work, and more. It also provides the opportunity to fill out the sender name and details.
Onto more shipping details! You would never want a shoppers order going to the wrong place, and that’s part of the reason why our new checkout process is so detailed! In this field, users will enter the delivery address of their choice, whether that is work or home. If this purchase is going to be sent to a place of work, the shopper also has a place to enter the name of their company to avoid any confusion. To prevent the hassle of entering all of your address and delivery details every time an item is ordered, shoppers who create or already have an existing account have the luxury of saving their address for future shopping!
Does the shopper want to receive their item right away or do they have some time to spare? We know that the shipping method can depend on the various circumstances, the user’s schedule, and how much money they are willing to spend on delivery. After the user moves on from entering their shipping address they will be given the option to choose between various methods such as free shipping, standard shipping, expedited shipping, and more! Once they have decided what works best for them, shoppers also have the exciting opportunity to view their estimated arrival date! For example, if the shopper was to choose expedited shipping, their product is most likely going to arrive sooner than it would if free shipping had been selected. Now all that’s left to do is enter billing information and await their brand new product in the mail!
We’ve covered where your shoppers order will be shipped to, but where do they want it billed to? The good news is, they will have the efficient option to choose that their billing address is the same as their shipping address, and won’t need to enter any other information regarding billing details. However, if the user does happen to have a separate billing address, they are easily able to enter a new or different name as well as address.
Just one more decision – how does your shopper want to pay for their order? The first option is to use the already existing account balance or gift certificate. For example, if an employer has given users an already established amount of money then they will be able to apply it using this billing method for the entire order or just part of it! Similar to this option, there is also a field to enter a coupon code set up by the employer that may give the shopper a percentage off of the full price. Next we have the most traditional form of payment, a credit or debit card. If this option is selected, users will be prompted to enter their card details such as card number and expiration date before continuing on to the summary page. Last but not least, users can also take advantage of budgets if the store is set up to support this billing method. Employers are able to set up budgets for various departments such as marketing, sales, or whichever area of the company they wish to place orders that must fit within the predetermined budget.
Almost done! Once shoppers hit this step in the checkout flow, it is an indicator that they have made it to the final step. On the summary page, they will be able to see an overview of all the information they’ve entered throughout the process to ensure that it is all correct. Once this has been confirmed, they can go ahead and place their order. And voila! Now all they have to do is sit back and wait. And you can feel at ease knowing your online store is generating orders!

An impressive new feature worth mentioning is our right side order and item summary! When shoppers have added items to their cart, this will appear on the right hand side of the screen. This enables shoppers to quickly get the full rundown of their order at any time!
