What is a Points Store?
Points Stores are very similar to the Company Store platform you already know and love. The big difference is that rather than being shown in a currency amount, products are shown in a points value. This is an especially great option for your clients who wish to reward their employees through a predetermined points system in order to keep track of spending limits. There are many reasons a client may not want to display the actual price of an item in their stores, and in Bright Sites we make it not only a possibility but incredibly uncomplicated to do so.
How to Enable Points
The first thing you will have to do is assign a conversion rate from your currency to points. For example, maybe a five dollar item equates to fifty points making it a ten point conversion rate. This is customizable for each store and product, and you can choose whatever conversion rates make sense for you and your client as well as the items in store. Then give your shoppers their points! Distributors and administrators can both mass upload users or they can give users the option to self register. With the mass upload option, administrators will have to set up a coupon code for shoppers that obtains a specific point value. You can also grant them a gift certificate containing their individual points value, which will enable them to self register. If desired, you can also set up an option for shoppers who want to purchase something that their points do not cover to pay for the difference through a traditional payment method such as a credit or debit card.
